It was ominous, mysterious, unclear. It is somehow about community and community building, but not much more information was shared. Accepting the spot was a leap of faith. That leap took 32 people from 8 different countries to the Kulturhaus in Osterholz-Scharmbeck (Bremen) on the 7th of April 2024. The participants chose their rooms and were treated to dinner on the first night, on Day Zero. What happened next?
Within the last 5 years, european exchange projects, funded by erasmus+, became a major part of Ideen³ e.V. and a Team from Netherlands, Greek and Romania are real heros in hosting those events, mostly around Bremen. This years European youth exchange “Growing Flavours” was created with focus on stimulating creativity, community-building, communication and responsibility in young people through the methods of researching, cooking and promoting traditional vegetarian recipes, sustainable food and ingredients, and the cultural roots of each country’s cuisine.
